X LIFE, DEATH AND THE BIT IN-BETWEENX__You know I have some very strange opinions and views about life, death and living, it seems that the human race is the most mixed up and potentially destructive being the universe has ever known.__Man has no remorse for it's actions after destroying the ozone layer, polluting seas and country side and the air, and it also seems that the honor of having life is being reaped from us by stone cold killers who have no respect for themselves or their fellow humans.__I digress however, first of all let's talk about life - or birth rather. I personally find babies disgusting and the whole birth process sick, considering how sexy the reproduction looks, it's a terrible sight when you see the sperm actually travelling down the uterus towards the egg - as this was shown on a program once.__It's a very "messy" scene whenever I see women giving birth (not that I go around watching them that is!) it's just perhaps men cannot deal with this part of life where women see it as beautiful. But even when the babies are 1 month old right up to 10-12 they always seem a right nuisance to me, always crying and nagging and messing you around. I may seem a un-caring sod at this point but I'd be a great father (even though I never want kids) it's just that perhaps I can't deal with the little blighters, I just can't see the appeal personally.ANYWAY...__Why is it that some people get married? All marriage is 2 names on a sheet of paper combined with a material object to "prove" your love to each other.__Why should I have to buy a ring to prove how much I love her? Surely by the way I dote and LOVE her personally is all that I need for there to be eternal bliss and that a ring just seems a waste of money, why not save on the ring and put the money towards a house? It's the same for getting married in a church, why? Now some people would say that it's because to live together or to get married out of the church would seem a bad religious move, but why should god have to worry where whether we get married or not? Surely if we love each other, are law abiding and are good people then it just doesn't matter? Take my advice and save up that money - put it towards a house. While I'm on this subject, why bother to get all dressed up with expensive clothes, a big church wedding and a massive spread? It all seems crazy if you ask me!__Now many of you may be saying, "Well ok mister smarty pants, what if your cool girl Melissa Hart wanted a wedding or a child eh?"__Well sure I'd marry her (If we both loved each other 100% of course!) and I suppose to make her day and give her a memorable day (Even though that every day should be a memorable one despite the lavish spreads) and if she wanted a child (Boy I haven't even met her and already we're married and are having a kid!) I would have to take stock of my situation financially and career wise just like her before I made any sure decisions.__Oh and if you were wondering what I would call my kids... Either Roy or Dave if it's a boy and Anthea if it's a girl.__The bit at the end is of course death and even that is strange. Why is it that when someone dies people throw a party or have a get together and have drinks and edibles? What a morbid thing to do! Also isn't it morbid to carry a coffin around the town. While I'm on the subject, why bother to buy a coffin anyway? I mean why doesn't the gravedigger put the body in a bag and then put them in the
ground, and why do they have to go in the ground anyway? I know that a coffin looks nice but it's only going to rot anyway and that's over 1000 pounds!Boy those certainly are some weird thoughts there, mate...X by Dave Diamond (c) Insomnia'98
